The official way to use Grokipedia

Open grokipedia.com, search your topic, and read. Sign in with your X account if you want to submit correction suggestions. On a phone, tap your browser's "Add to Home Screen" option — you get a Grokipedia icon on your home screen that opens the real site, with none of the risk of a sideloaded APK.

Warning: fake "Grokipedia APK" downloads

Within days of Grokipedia's launch, copycat sites started offering "Grokipedia APK" files. These are not from xAI. Unofficial APKs are a classic malware vector — bundled adware, excessive permissions, or phishing screens designed to steal your X login. Outlets covering the launch specifically warned readers about fake apps posing as Grokipedia to harvest account details.

What about the Grok app?

The Grok app (xAI's AI chatbot, on the App Store and Play Store) is real and official — but it's a conversational assistant, not the encyclopedia. Don't confuse the two.
